Illustrator, modeller, specialist designer in lettering, advertising image and videogames... a 3D crack! Zygor Samaniego has been working with three-dimensional design programs for more than a decade and is passionate about his work; so much so that, in addition to collaborating with large companies and agencies around the world and teaching courses and workshops revealing his most precious techniques and tricks when it comes to bringing his designs to life, he still saves time to develop personal projects that reaffirm his love for what are you doing. Zigor is a professor of the 3D Lettering course: modeling and texturing with Cinema 4D , in which he shows, step by step, how to create 3D letterings hair lights.
All kinds of textures are valid to create letters photo retouching service that do not go unnoticed! More recently he has also started to teach the course Express Introduction to 3D: from scratch to render with Cinema 4D in which he explains the first steps to work with Cinema 4D and design your first 3D project. Who are you, what do you do, what is your specialty and how many years have you been doing what you do? I'm Zigor Samaniego and I call myself a 3D illustrator (I don't know if that exists). Before, I also worked as a graphic designer, but I have been leaving it for illustration. I've been in this world professionally for 15 years, but I haven't always dedicated myself to doing illustration; I've done infographics of buildings, web pages, corporate identity… let's say I've been the multi-tool guy in a couple of companies.

Now I have spent 2 years almost entirely dedicated to 3D. Interview with Zigor Samaniego 2 What was the first paid job you did? I'm a little embarrassed to say it. The first job they paid me for was in a studio where I did my internship, it was a hair removal photo catalog where I had to do a lot of shaved pubic models. It's funny, because now I love to add fur to my work. And the last? The last one was the cover for WIRED UK magazine, a special issue with a giant 100 on the cover. Interview with Zigor Samaniego 4 What is the biggest mistake you have made in your career? The biggest mistake I've made has been realizing, too late, the importance of specializing in something specific to prosper professionally.
